Am I the Only One Left That Still Fills These Out?

A few days ago, I opened my mailbox and found something I honestly hadn’t thought about in years.

A Nielsen radio diary.

You know… the little paper booklet where you manually write down what radio stations you listen to throughout the day so they can track ratings.

And my very first thought was:

“Wait… do people still actually fill these out?”

Then my second thought hit me even harder:

“Am I the only one left that still does?”

It made me laugh a little. But it also made me think about how much the world has changed, especially in advertising.

There Are Always Questions. Here Are the Facts.

Every campaign comes with questions, and that’s part of the process.

I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the finest men and women leaders in this state, and I don’t take that lightly. Thank you for trusting me with your aptitude to lead. These campaigns are more than strategy and media plans. They are long days, tough conversations, and a whole lot of trust. If we weren’t friends before, we definitely are now. Win or lose, those relationships matter.

But I’ll be honest. So far, the wins have significantly outweighed the losses, and I’m proud of every single one of them.

The Dry Erase Board That Runs My Life (and My Clients’ Social Media)

f you walked into my office right now, the first thing you’d notice isn’t a computer.

It’s the dry erase board.

Color-coded. Sectioned out. Completely full. And yes — every single task gets crossed off.

Because if you know me, you know I’m Type A to a T… and there is nothing more satisfying than checking something off a list.

But that board? It doesn’t stay in my office.

It goes where I go.

Back and forth from the office to my house, every single day — because when you’re managing half a dozen or so social content plans across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X, you don’t just leave it behind at 5:00.

Blue Tape. Show Up Anyway.

At 8:30 a.m., I showed up for a Zoom call on the future of AI and search engines with blue tape over my camera. Not because it wasn’t important. But because showing up mattered more than looking put together.

Progress doesn’t wait for perfect timing.
Neither does growth.

A Little Christmas Nostalgia

Wishing our clients, friends, and extended Prime Time family a joyful Christmas season and heartfelt thanks for the trust, support, and relationships that continue to mean so much to us.

As we reflect this time of year, we’re also remembering some special Prime Time moments. Ted Riemann, one of my mentors and the person I purchased The Prime Time Agency from, along with his art director John Seymour, helped shape the creative culture we still carry forward today.

This “Silent Night” holiday card includes duct tape for a reason. Ted was anything but silent. It was our way of capturing his personality with a little humor and a lot of love.

We shared the full story behind this card and other Prime Time Christmas memories on the blog.

Fear. Faith. And the Next Step.

Every now and then, something shows up in your life at the exact moment you need it. For me, it came in the form of a blog from my dear friend, CeCe, titled “Do It Scared.” I don’t think she wrote it for me, but it felt like she did. Her message stopped me in my tracks because it echoed exactly where I am right now… stepping into something big, exciting, and honestly, a little terrifying.

And that “something” is this: Prime Time is expanding into the New Orleans market!

From Spark to Screen: Why Partnerships Make the Difference

Earlier this week, I shared the first draft of a script — just words on a page, the starting spark of a new idea. I also gave you a glimpse behind the scenes of our shoot with Riemann Family Funeral Homes, where that spark began taking shape under the lights and cameras. Today, I want to show you how those moments fit together, and why the right partnerships make all the difference in turning an idea into something unforgettable.

Part Three: From Ted’s Typewriter to Today’s Tech – The Story Behind Prime Time

The first part of this series started with a beeper … a little plastic device that buzzed on your hip and meant you were expected to respond. The second part picked up with burned CDs and mixed tapes… hours spent curating the perfect mix to share with your best friend. Both stories were sparked by a Monday morning conversation with my son and his friends, who couldn’t believe how much effort went into “old school” connection compared to today’s instant everything.

Social Media Strategy vs. Posting on the Fly — Why It Matters

In today’s fast-moving digital world, it’s tempting to just post whenever inspiration strikes. While that may keep your feed active, it won’t necessarily grow your brand. Successful social media isn’t about being busy — it’s about being intentional.
