Adulting is hard. Parenting is hard. Running your household is hard. Running your own business is hard. LIFE is hard.
And if we’re being REALLY honest, some days, caffeine feels like the only thing keeping it all together.
We all wear so many hats, and some days, it feels like every single one of them is sliding off at the same time. Somewhere along the way, we were told we should be able to handle it all. The business, the family, the house, the friendships, the bills, the to-do lists. And not just handle it ... but do it gracefully, with a smile, and maybe even PERFECTLY post about it afterwards.
But the truth? Nobody has it all together. And that’s okay.
The other day, I was venting (okay, whining) to a dear friend about how overwhelmed I felt. Without hesitation, she looked at me and said, “Take a day for YOU, Kerry. It’s okay. And while you’re at it... delegate. Take something OFF your plate and let someone else handle it.”
Simple. Direct. And exactly what I needed to hear.
We forget that taking care of ourselves isn’t selfish, it’s necessary. You can’t pour from an empty cup. Whether that means a quiet day off, saying no to one more commitment, or trusting someone else to help carry the load, it matters.
Being real isn’t about perfection. It’s about honesty. It’s about saying, “Yeah, today was a lot,” and letting that be enough.
And while I may not be able to fold your laundry, clean your closet or make your inbox magically clear out... I can help take something off your plate.
If you’re a business owner who’s juggling it all, let me help by taking marketing off your shoulders. Whether it’s managing your social media, mapping out what’s next in your advertising plan, or figuring out how to get more people walking through your doors: that’s where I come in.
So, if you’re reading this and feeling like you’re barely holding it together, don't worry, you’re not alone. Take a breath. Take a break. Delegate. Take a day for YOU. It’s okay. And maybe grab another cup of coffee while you’re at it. You’ve earned it.
