Fear. Faith. And the Next Step.
Fear. Faith. And the Next Step.
Every now and then, something shows up in your life at the exact moment you need it. For me, it came in the form of a blog from my dear friend, CeCe, titled “Do It Scared.” I don’t think she wrote it for me, but it felt like she did. Her message stopped me in my tracks because it echoed exactly where I am right now… stepping into something big, exciting, and honestly, a little terrifying.
And that “something” is this: Prime Time is expanding into the New Orleans market!
This isn’t a sudden decision. It’s been quietly forming, growing, and nudging me for a while. But reading CeCe’s words at the exact moment I felt the weight of this next step reminded me that fear isn’t a stop sign. Sometimes it’s simply a sign that you’re about to do something that matters.
New Orleans has always been right in our backyard. Many of our clients already serve the region, and our work naturally crosses state lines every day. Expanding our footprint there isn’t a leap into the unknown; it’s the next logical, strategic, and purposeful move.
But that doesn’t mean it’s not scary.
Growth always brings the mix: excitement on one side, nerves on the other. Faith holding the middle ground. And while I’ve built Prime Time with intention every step of the way, this next chapter requires me to stretch further than I ever have before.
That stretch became crystal clear over the past few months as I completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program… and, as of last week, officially graduated. Walking across that stage in New Orleans with Bryan and BC in the audience felt like a full-circle moment for this entire journey.
And let’s be honest… they definitely had to fend for themselves a few nights while I worked through growth plans and assignments. Which mostly looked like takeout, survival-mode, and the two of them pretending they had it all under control.
But their support (every meal, every mile, every “you’ve got this” ) is what helped me get to that stage.
I was also incredibly honored to be selected as the Alumni Ambassador for my cohort, a role that allows me to continue supporting other small business owners long after graduation. That responsibility only reinforced what I already knew in my gut: expansion isn’t just possible… it’s time.
And most importantly, this move will not take anything away from my current clients. If anything, it strengthens what Prime Time can offer.
More connections.
More resources.
More opportunities.
More room to grow, for all of us.
Our roots are here on the Coast. That doesn’t change. What changes is the reach, the network, the visibility. What changes is what becomes possible.
So YES, I’m stepping into New Orleans with a mix of fear and faith. Fear because this matters. Faith because I know the work, the relationships, and the results speak for themselves. Confidence because every sign, every lesson, and every nudge has brought me to this point.
This is the next step. And I’m taking it — scared, sure. But steady.
