The Dry Erase Board That Runs My Life (and My Clients’ Social Media)
If you walked into my office right now, the first thing you’d notice isn’t a computer. It’s the dry erase board. Color-coded. Sectioned out. Completely full. And yes… every single task gets crossed off.
Because if you know me, you know I’m Type A to a T… and there is nothing more satisfying than checking something off a list.
But that board? It’s not just for show. It’s how I keep everything moving.
Right now, I’m managing half a dozen or so social content plans across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X. Each platform has its own rhythm, its own audience, its own expectations , and what works in one space rarely works the same way in another. So every post, every caption, every deadline… and it all lives on that board.
It keeps me focused.
It keeps me consistent.
And it keeps my clients showing up exactly where they need to be.
But the real work isn’t just staying organized. It’s learning what actually works. Lately, I’ve been deep in that process and not from a course or a conference, but from doing. Testing. Adjusting. Paying attention.
One of my favorite unexpected “projects” has been our dog “ JuJu”. Her Insta has become my real-time testing ground for organic growth. And if I can brag for a minute is blowing up, lol. No shortcuts, no ad spend, just figuring out what makes people stop, engage, and come back for more.
It’s where I get to experiment.
It’s where I get to fail a little.
And it’s where I get to figure out what actually works before I ever apply it to a client.
And then there’s my son, BC. Some of my best strategy sessions happen sitting at home, talking through how to grow his presence on X for his baseball career. What gets engagement? What actually gets noticed? What feels real versus forced?
Different audience. Same principle: Authenticity wins.
I also use AI every single day.
It helps me stay organized, generate ideas, and manage multiple content plans efficiently. When you’re juggling this many moving pieces, it’s a game changer.
But here’s what I’ve learned: There is no replacement for real.
I’ve tested it: AI-generated images versus real photos, AI-written captions versus authentic voice, and every single time, the real thing wins. People can feel the difference. They connect with what’s genuine, what’s human, what actually means something.
AI helps me work smarter. But authenticity is what makes it work . That’s the part I bring back to my clients every day.
Because I don’t believe in guessing. I believe in learning through experience, refining the approach, and showing up with strategies that are grounded in what’s working right now.
I get to work with businesses I truly believe in, people who have built something meaningful , and help them tell their story in a way that connects.
Every post has a purpose.
Every platform has a strategy.
Every client has a story worth telling.
And that dry erase board? It’s just how I make sure it all gets done.
